Since the onset of the COVID pandemic, the Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA) has been working to assist members of society who have been affected by illness, death of family members, or loss of employment. AFWWA and its Sanginis are standing shoulder to shoulder to support the needy families in this hour of distress, while the Indian Air Force continues to conduct airlifts for Oxygen and vital medical supplies.
In cooperation with the District Administration, Sanginis of AFWWA Gandhinagar distributed a total of 500 ration packets as part of this ongoing initiative. 250 ration packets in Sector 30 GEB Thapra, 150 ration packets in Sector 28 GTS Thapra, 32 ration packets in Sector 19 HIB School and orphanage, 08 ration packets in Sector 17 Old Age Home and 60 ration packets in Old Age Home at Pethapur, were distributed amongst the needy people. During the second wave of Covid-19, the contents of the packet were chosen with the goal of alleviating burdens and providing much-needed assistance to vulnerable families. In this trying period, the Sanginis of the AFWWA, inspired by “Har Kaam Desh Ke Naam”, have made a significant contribution to society on behalf of the Air Force Wives Welfare Association by assisting people from all walks of life.
